Born from a
moment of clarity
after the storm.
After Hurricane Melissa passed through Jamaica, in October 2025, as expected, a lot of what I was accustomed to had shifted. Things were not operating as usual. Businesses were adjusting, schedules were different, and the normal flow of life required a new kind of flexibility.
Shortly after, I needed to take care of some business out of town and decided to travel with the Knutsford Express. At the time, as a result of the hurricane, their availabile bus schedules were limited. That immediately put me in a time crunch — get to my destination, complete what I needed to do, and make it back in time for the return trip.
"As you probably guessed, I missed the bus. Just like that, I had to book an Airbnb and take the next bus the following day. And not long after, the exact same thing happened again."
I remember thinking to myself how important it is to be in a position where, in an unexpected moment, you can make a financial decision quickly and without stress, especially when it happens more than once.
It made me wonder: how many of us can comfortably handle life's sudden changes without it throwing everything off? That was the moment I started thinking deeply about the importance of becoming a well-to-do woman.
Beyond that, I believe we must prioritize our health, pursue the goals God has placed on our hearts, and steward our time wisely in order to fulfill our purpose. These are the pillars of Well-To-Do Woman, built on 3 John 1:2: "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
